Museum Aide


Ms. Maes has served as the Pueblo Heritage Museum aide since 2015.  She has been a Pueblo resident since 1998 but was born in Germany where she completed her education and obtained a Business School apprenticeship in insurance.  She has been employed by the USAF Europe at the Wiesbaden, Germany Medical Center as a civilian. She served as the work order controller & translator to the Biomedical Engineering Team.  The freed Iran hostages were debriefed here – a great occasion to celebrate!  Ms. Maes initially came to the United States in 1972 and resided in Arizona where she later became a U.S. citizen.  Upon relocating to Pueblo in the late 1990’s she joined the Pueblo German American Club as well as the Newcomers’ Ladies satellite group.  She has three adult children.  She is a button collector, an avid mahjong player, and volunteer with the Pueblo Symphony.  Ms. Maes is fluent in German and English.
