A Pueblo native, Heraldo attended Pueblo public schools from K-12. After graduating from Central High School, Heraldo enlisted in U.S. Air Force for four years.  Receiving an Honorable discharge and taking advantage of his G.I. Bill – Heraldo attended and graduated from California State University at Hayward, Washington State University and Michigan State University.  From the 1990s to the present Heraldo has served on the Boards of Genealogical Society of Hispanic America (GSHA)/Pueblo, Fray Angèlico Chávez Chapter/GSHA, El Pueblo History Museum, Southeastern Colorado Heritage Museum, a.k.a Pueblo Heritage Museum.  A passion for preserving Pueblo History, Heraldo received a commemorative tablet from the Pueblo County Historical Society, May 2003, National Historic Presentation Month…. for his individual accomplishments in the recognition of 1872 South Pueblo’s historic street names and memorializing those killed at Fort Pueblo on December 25, 1854.  Heraldo is still active researching Pueblo History.
