Mary Ellen Burciago

Mary Ellen Burciago is a retired educator of 32 years, working in roles of elementary teacher, school counselor, and principal. Born in Crowley, CO, raised and educated in Rocky Ford, CO., Mary Ellen received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Kansas Newman College in Wichita, KS. and her M.A.  in Guidance and  Counseling from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. She now has time to indulge in some favorite pastimes, including travel, reading, and volunteering at the Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo, CO. Mary Ellen has been a member of the Fray Angelico Chavez Chapter of the Genealogical Society of Hispanic America for eight years, serving as Secretary and as FACC Representative to GSHA.  She hopes she might serve as a liaison between the Pueblo Heritage Center and FACC.
