I am a native of Pueblo and a graduate of Central HS. My first two years in college I majored in history but switched to Industrial Science Education as a junior and graduated from CSU-Ft. Collins with a BS. After college, I couldn’t immediately find a teaching job so went to work at what was then CF&I Steel. I worked there as a mobile crane operator for five years.

Eventually, I landed a position in Los Alamos, NM, teaching middle school Industrial Arts. I taught for 10 years and one of those years I was selected for a Fulbright Teacher Exchange to Bristol, England.

My wife and I then returned to Pueblo where I found employment at Trane Company. I worked for Trane for 21 years as the Training Manager. I left Trane in 2012 and joined the Pueblo Chemical-Agent Pilot Project’s Training Department where I specialized in teaching Control Room Operators and Maintenance Technicians. I retired from PCAPP in June of this year and began volunteering for the Heritage Museum shortly after.
