Art is a Pueblo native and graduate of CSU-Ft Collins, where he earned a BS degree in Industrial Arts Education. He taught middle school industrial arts in Los Alamos, New Mexico. After ten years in public schools, Art returned to Pueblo and joined Trane Company as its Training Manager, holding this position for 21 years. He then transitioned to the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Project as a Training Specialist. His responsibilities primarily involved teaching control room operators and maintenance technicians. Art now volunteers for the Heritage Museum because he believes it plays a crucial role in the preservation, interpretation and promotion of Southeastern Colorado’s history.
