The Southeastern Colorado Heritage Center and Museum seeks to preserve, promote, and interpret the heritage of southeastern Colorado thereby fostering an understanding and appreciation for the plurality of its people. We accomplish this by providing the public access to our historical collections and by cooperating with other heritage-related groups.

The Southeastern Colorado Heritage Center's vision is to be a vital part of the southeastern Colorado community, serving as a regional network for heritage-based organizations, a research library and museum. We strive to honor the heritage of all people who have inhabited this region thereby helping to build a sense of community and pride in its residents.
